Company History

In December of 1995 Wes Miller opened Precision Automotive in Lake Isabella, California. Wes had been recruited early, while still in high school, to a car dealership. It was there he received training from General Motors, Toyota, Porsche, Nissan, Volkswagen and Honda. He was also certified as an ASE Master Technician and a state license smog technician. With all this experience it was no surprise that one day he would have his own Automotive Repair Shop.

He started the business with only one employee, and soon realized that this would not be sufficient for all the demands he was making. Precision Automotive was the result. Precision Automotive is an independently owned and operated business; not a franchise. Because our owners work on the site, they are available to customers whenever they are needed. This puts us in a unique position to combine our personal touch with state of the art technology, networking, logistics and resources you would expect to find in a huge franchised company. In 1998, Wes noticed Carolyn, his barber, had a passion for customer service, and he then asked her to work for him. She has been writing service for him ever since- providing customers with the great service and best warranty on repairs that they deserve.

Today, Precision Automotive is located right in the middle of Lake Isabella and has grown from 1 bay shop to 10 full services bays. With five full time employees, Precision Automotive is one of the largest automotive repair shops in Kern River Valley.
